Apparel Manufacturing & Merchandizing, and Textile Chemistry
This year's freshmen class has a new program to choose from, the BBA Honors in Apparel Management and Merchandising degree.
The fashion and apparel industry needs bright talented executives to guide the technological revolution rapidly taking place with this billion-dollar industry. Skilled managers are required to deal with increasingly complex textile products and manufacturing techniques; tasks such as planning product lines months before they appear in the stores are the order of the day.
Our BBA Honors in Apparel Management and Merchandising program is a combination of business and apparel courses. This program has been created to encompass all important elements of a successful apparel manager: procurement, quality, production, product development, marketing, management, merchandising, finance, human resource management and sales.
With a BBA in Textile Management added two years ago (2001), and a BBA in Textile Design four years ago (1999), TIP has a growing portfolio of degrees on offer. TIP started in 1993 with a lone BBA in Textile Science.
TIP this year also added a Masters of Science in Textile Chemistry.
Qualified and experienced faculty in Textile Chemistry, Polymer Sciences and Chemistry, have structured a program that is analytical and challenging, yet convenient enough for both full-time and part-time candidates.

Hello Erum,
You can find more information about TIP at www.tip.edu.pk, or you can visit the city campus to pick up a prospectus. Some more pictures of our main campus are at http://quack.offroadpakistan.com/news/welcome_class_of_2007.html and http://quack.offroadpakistan.com/news/orientation_week_2003.html.
The TIP 'difference' is that it offers a very open and dynamic environment, where the focus (unlike other universities in Pakistan) is on both a well rounded education that allows personal development, and is career oriented. TIP boasts a 100% job placement rate upon graduation.
Feel free to browse Quack! Online (quack.offroadpakistan.com) for the 'inside' view from the students, or you can email me for more information.

1) Where I take admission?
2) If it is necessary to take admission in foreign university, which is the best university?
3) What is the formalities?
I will be thankful to you for this favour. I will be waiting your reply.
Regards.

Farooq, to answer your questions:
1. You can take admission at anywhere that offers the course you're looking for.
2. No, it is not necessary to take admission in a foreign university. There are universities in Pakistan that offer Textile Merchandising, TIP (www.tip.edu.pk) being one of them. You could also try the National Textile University in Faisalabad, or some other run of the mill diploma college. Good universities abroad include UMIST (umist.ac.uk) in the UK, and Clemson University (clemson.com) or UPhil in America.
3. The admission formalities you can find on their respective websites.
