The Story Behind The Thatta Bus Situation
A Quack! Online Special... It all began with a phone call!
On the phone, Ammar Saif was heard saying "I am in a serious problem & it doesn't seem that these guys (2 bus conductors) are going to let go off me that easily." This was the time when a bunch of guys were sitting in the Hostel TV room, and they suddenly came across such a dramatic situation that they had never dealt with before. Its needless and at the same time useless to elaborate the aftermath of the decision that was eventually taken to subside the threat that was upon Ammar Saif. But its worth mentioning point is that had any one seen the battered face of Ammar Saif at the very moment he was rescued out of the bus, one surely would have feelings for him. A very respectful and and influential member of TIP management has been heard as saying that "agar Ammar Saif ko mara haii too nishan kahan haiin?"
I would like to answer this senseless query by an equally silly question "Agar guards koo mara gayaa haii too nishan kahan haiin?"
Much brouhaha has been raised regarding the selfless efforts of the guards who risked their lives to save the students and also risk beating up by the ruthless crowd. But the fact is that there is no iota of truth in this hearsay.
Yes we accede that by being a bit more responsible and rational, this catastrophic situation could have been avoided which risked not only the prestige of our beloved university but also our lives; but I want to ask and I very well have the right to ask that, was it not the TIP management's responsibility to not turn a deaf ear towards our repeatedly begged requests to provide us some transport, at least on the weekends.
A very well recognized figure has answered this demand in a very remarkable way as "Agar kissi ko heart attack hoo jayee, yaa koii mar rahaa hoo, only then can I allow you take the TIP vehicle."
We are vehemently being alleged as the war mongering fanatics whose only objective is to frighten and assault, we are also being threatened to be publicized and accused, but what we are not being granted is the right to express our point of view.
The damage has been done, the guards have succeeded in posing as valiant gladiators, the culprits have been fined Rs. 80,000, but still the question remains;
"Is that the solution of what aggravated the students to commit such an illicit act?"
